We are an international brand wholesaler and distributor of fast moving consumer goods. Over the past 42 years, we have innovated, diversified and evolved to become a company which services global retailers and customers, and have built partnerships with leading brands across the UK and worldwide.

Our Story
  1. Pricecheck started life as a small retail store before the Lythe family expanded into a health and beauty wholesale operation.

  2. Our first big move – as the business grows and we need extra warehouse space, we move to a purposely redeveloped steelworks on Upwell Street Sheffield, close to the M1.

  3. Even more choice – we add new categories such as cosmetics, fragrance, household, medical and children’s products.

  4. Siblings continue success – Siblings Debbie Harrison and Mark Lythe take over from their parents as Joint MD’s as Pricecheck celebrates 30 years in business.

  5. Export is key – The business begins to focus more on its growing export markets in Europe, Australia and the USA.

  6. Award winning – We are awarded the highest accolade for UK business success, the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

  7. Our second big move - Pricecheck moves to a purpose built warehouse facility in Beighton, Sheffield, to enable further growth.

  8. More categories, more choice – We add food, drink and confectionery to our growing FMCG range, before adding alcohol at the end of the year.

  9. Four decades of growth – Pricecheck celebrates 40 years in business with a party for staff and extra holiday entitlement.

  10. Export champions - We are named an Export Champion by the Department for International Trade and are listed in the London Stock Exchange's list of 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain for the second consecutive year.
